Tailoring dreams

This painting depicts a common scene in Bahrain during the last century. Bahraini ladies were famous of their distinctive skills in tailoring traditional clothes. In this painting I capture a fleeting moment of a Bahraini lady dressed in a traditional cloth and tailoring in a mystic colorful room, with a picture on the wall of an absent man. The contrast of the lady in black in white versus the colorful room intensify the feelings of mysteriousness and illicit an urge to know more about her untold story.
